Tallukkaat, or felt boots, are made specifically according to your measurements. Structurally, tallukkaat are similar to lapikkaat (traditional Finnish felt boots). They are handcrafted, with pieces cut using a knife and sewn with durable thread. The seams, from hook seam to curly seam, are hand-stitched with durable thread.

Felt footwear is made from 5 mm wool felt, strong enough for use in footwear and suitable for sewing with pitched thread. Sewing felt with pitched thread is exactly the same as sewing leather, one stitch at a time, gathering the outside material to form the up-turned toe.

Currently, the felt is ordered separately, so you can also leave a color preference.

Instructions for measuring

When ordering, you pay a 40% down payment. This covers materials and reserves your place in the queue. You will be informed of the delivery time and the remaining 60% will be billed by email before shipping the finished product.
